Job Description

  • Lead and manage a customer-focused team, to optimize client relationships and drive sales growth and sustained, long-term profitability.
  • Manage the day-to-day Inside Sales activities of the Freight Forwarding function by planning, coordinating operational activities, and guiding the alignment of resource to operational requirements and customer needs to provide a positive commercial return.
  • Manage and drive pricing desk performance on the behalf of UAE station and measure the process and team performance to ensure maximum customer satisfactory performance.
  • Lead the pricing desk team, monitors output quality, and makes needed changes and develop and maintain Standard Trading Conditions for all quotations.
  • Ensure the pricing desk delivers adequate opportunity prioritization, pricing, routing and solution design (timely and quality wise) in alignment with Sales and Operations.
  • Organize the pricing input collection, adherence to standards and pricing instructions, roll-up of bid input into country response, country-to-country pricing, pricing campaigns, factor-based BC pricing, including setting up internal selling rates.
  • Keep track of existing customers and strategize client retention, while developing internal services and product delivery.
  • Periodically follow-up on customer feedback regarding the services offered by the department and analyze customer feedback to identify root causes, while taking action to improve short- and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and coach team members on operational, customer relationship building and general work performance activities.


Desired Candidate Profile

Related Work Experience:

  • 8-10 years' work experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics, with knowledge of sales and pricing processes.
  • At least a couple of years of supervisory or team lead experience is essential.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good IT skills specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of working with 3rd party overseas agents and networks.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
  • Able to cope with work pressure, as well as lead the team effectively through time-bound deliverables.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communicator, with effective negotiation and influencing skills.
