Job Description

  • Generate TEU volumes across the assigned container terminals, and accountable to meet and exceed the targets set and profitable business to directly impact positive EBIT development.
  • Budget, measure and exceed strategic business and performance objectives.
  • Commercially, lead projects and design customized customer solutions to customers, ensuring respective internal team resources are adequately allocated.
  • Offer and negotiate cost effective, create and workable solutions to any operational or financial challenges.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis on complex business propositions, present outcome and findings to stakeholder groups and senior management.
  • Maintain tariffs and contracts and assist commercial team on pricing general cargo and bulk operations, whenever required.
  • Organise market intelligence and gather valuable data records related to upcoming opportunities, construction market news, etc.
  • Promote strong personal relationships with all business influencers and manage stakeholder communication and expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date on all customer accounts, and engage in client relationship building activities.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • An ideal candidate shall have personal presence, character and determination as well as having an extensive understanding of the global port, shipping landscape and trading markets. The candidate shall have good product knowledge of the container terminal and ports industries, as well an an understanding of the operational aspects.
  • The incumbent shall have at least 8 years’ of Commercial work experience in a container terminal business, and preferably hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in Sales and Marketing.
